Felice Pierce, "Rose Girl"

Felice Pierce has been teaching elementary art since 2015.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from University of Louisville.  She has always had a passion for Fine Art and 20th Century Art History.  Pierce teaches a variety of styles, mediums and techniques.  Her personal area of interest is drawing and painting still life and portraits.  She enjoys exploring art as much as my students.

What do you hope your students take away from your class?

My goal is to focus on encouraging my student’s creative individualism to pursue their own style with confidence.  I want my students to be able to elaborate on their imagination and personal experience then apply their learned knowledge of art to create a piece of artwork as unique as them.  I hope after every class they can’t wait to come back!

What is your favorite thing to teach and why?

My favorite thing to teach is painting.  I am fascinated with color and using unconventional colors with conventional subjects.  I connect my lessons with famous artists to help with understanding all the many ways to make art.
