Gary Joe Barriger is a recent hire within the JCPS school system. Gary taught his first 9 years in Shelbyville Kentucky at Martha Layne Collins High School specializing in Visual Arts, Graphic Design and the Odyssey of the Mind head coach. Gary holds multiple degrees; BFA in graphic design from Western KY Univ., BA in Arts Education and Studio Arts from the Univ. of Kentucky, an MA in Special Education FMD from the Univ. of the Cumberlands, and a Rank 1 in Gifted and Talented from Western KY Univ.
