Kayla Bischoff, Louisville native, joined LVA in 2019 as our Resource Development Director. In 2014, she graduated magna cum laude from Bellarmine University with a BA in Studio Art, Painting Emphasis. Since graduating, she's worked for the local arts community as an arts administrator and visual artist.
From 2014 - 2019, Kayla was the Gallery Manager of Kaviar Forge & Gallery. Since 2014, she also currently serves as the Communications Director for LOOK: Louisville Art Inc. For the 5th consecutive year, she will serve as Preparator for the American Printing House for the Blind's Annual Insights Art Exhibition, October 2019. This year she also served as a juror for this exhibition.
She is represented as an exhibiting artist at Galerie Hertz in Louisville, KY, and has taught painting workshops at the Carnegie Center for Art & History in New Albany, IN. Her studio practice primarily focuses on acrylic painting with semi-abstract figures and faces.
Kayla has exhibited her paintings locally and around the country in galleries such as Site:Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY, The Studios of Key West in Key West, FL and the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art, in New Harmony, IN.
