Artists Talk with LVA: October 26, 2023

Kentucky to the World (KTW) welcomes legendary film animator Carol Wyatt home for an exclusive live program featuring her renowned contributions to the world of animation. but the Louisville native spoke to us first about her career and the upcoming program. Tune in to WXOX 97.1 FM/Artxfm.com on Thursday at 10 am to hear Artists Talk with LVA.

Wednesday, November 1 at 6:30 PM, at the Speed Art Museum with a light reception at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $25 per adult and free for students thanks to the support of the Bass Family Foundation.

Prior to the main program, KTW will also hold a special student briefing opportunity with Carol and Brooke at the Speed Cinema for local middle school through university-age students to have an interactive conversation with our distinguished guests. Carol Wyatt is an animation designer, painter, and supervisor with over 35 years of experience in television and film.

She is known for her work on the first four seasons of The Simpsons, as well as Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life, Nightmare Ned, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, The Ricky Gervais Show, Over the Garden Wall, Amphibia, Rick and Morty, and many more. She has designed the look for TV series such as Nightmare Ned, Hey Arnold!, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and Camp Lazlo, while contributing her painting style to animated features and independent films.

Currently, Carol is the Color Supervisor on Rick and Morty and teaching Special Studies in Animation at CSULB.
