KMAC Couture 2025: Lucky #13 is a wearable live art runway show presented by KMAC Museum. It is the signature fundraiser for KMAC Museum that provides funding for the Museum's educational programs and exhibitions. This event offers a unique way to experience art and fashion. KMAC Couture features and supports emerging and established artists, costumers, designers, and milliners through the extraordinary presentation of original couture pieces of wearable art and conceptual fashion designs. Mallory Quisenberry is a fashion designer and the founder of Green Folk Collective which features her “handcrafted slow fashion designs. This is her second time with KMAC Couture.

Elizabeth Windisch is a Multimedia artist, surface pattern designer and archivist. Her current designs are created from hand drawings inspired by the unseen forces of nature.

Kris Thompson is Development & Special Projects Manager at KMAC Museum. She is also a fiber artist living and working in Louisville, KY. Recent group exhibitions include an all woman show which she co-curated and exhibited in and a show at Moreman Gallery.

Artists Talk with LVA: April 13, 2023

KMAC Couture is Saturday, April 15 and we talked with designers Angela Davis & Rebecca Richards the day before! Tune into WXOX 97.1FM/Artxfm.com each Thursday at 10 am to hear Artists Talk with LVA.

Angela Davis was born in Big Rock, Virginia and now works here in Louisville as a Social Worker/Trauma Specialist for Seven County Services. She has also been a teacher and has been a multi-media artist her whole life. This is her first time at Couture as a designer. Last year she modeled Laura Patterson’s design.

This is Rebecca Richards’ second time at KMAC Couture. Originally from Los Angeles, she moved to Louisville from New York City three years ago. For the 2023 Couture, she is collaborating with Stivian Widick
