Abbie Springer competed with the nationally ranked University of Louisville cheerleading squad and in 2009, she began her circus arts training. Abbie has appeared with her family in the annual Turners Circus spring production since 2009 and she has performed in CirqueLouis’ previous productions of at Iroquois Amphitheatre and Kentucky Center. Abbie is also a part of CirqueLouis’ event performance troupe appearing at prestigious venues all over the city
Myranda Thomas is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky, where she earned two degrees in theatre and elementary education. She currently works at StageOne Family Theatre as an education associate as well as at Acting Against Cancer as a teaching artist for their after school children’s program and was recently the Leading Player in their production of Pippin.
Jordan Clark, born in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been performing with CirqueLouis for several years and has directed their recent productions Gravity’s Varieties and Happy Birthday! After training on his own in high school, Jordan began his formal circus training in 2006 at the National Circus School of Montreal’s summer program. He was later accepted into the school’s prestigious college program where he completed his training in 2012. Jordan has performed his hand-balancing act in over 20 counties as well as at sea.
Louisville Orchestra Music Director Teddy Abrams came to the WXOX studio to talk about music and the "Art+Music" program he will be conducting with the Louisville Orchestra January 25 and 26. Teddy Abrams is a widely acclaimed conductor, as well as an established pianist, clarinetist, and composer. Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra and Music Director and Conductor of the Britt Classical Festival, he also serves as Resident Conductor of the MAV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest, which he first conducted in 2011. A tireless advocate for the power of music, Abrams continues to foster interdisciplinary collaboration with organizations including the Louisville Ballet, the Center for Interfaith Relations, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Speed Art Museum, and the Folger Shakespeare Library. His extensive community outreach continues to reach new audiences and bring classical music into increasingly diverse communities.

Aleksandra Stone has a new solo exhibit, Fruits of Labor, at garner narrative. Pyro Gallery, #MeToo "From Silent to Resilient" Paintings by Debra Lott - guests, Meg White, Sculpture and Rachel Gibbs, Painting. Jibade-Khalil Huffman Poems For Every Occasion is currently on exhibit at KMAC.
With support from Broadway Across America and the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, Louisville Visual Art's Ehren Reed worked with eighth grade students at Western Middle School to create this immersive installation in anticipation of the upcoming performance of "The Little Mermaid". The students explored a variety of textile techniques including traditional Japanese indigo dyeing and silk painting to create this work. Thanks to Western Middle School teachers Amanda Thompson and Becky Kelm for their participation and support! You can see the installation in person from now until February 19th.
