Remy Sisk from Acting Against Cancer and Jordan Clark from CirqueLouis will be with us to talk about the upcoming collaborative production of PIPPIN that opens at Art Sanctuary on August 23, and cast member Myranda Thomas will be singing a song (or two). Remy Sisk is a Louisville native and has been active in the local theatre community for the last six years. He currently serves as executive director for Acting Against Cancer, and favorite previous credits with AAC, CenterStage, Pandora Productions, Theatre [502] and The Liminal Playhouse. In addition to regularly directing AAC’s annual production of The Rocky Horror Show, he recently directed AAC’s productions of [title of show] and The Last Five Years and choreographed Mamma Mia!. Remy holds a B.A. in English from Indiana University and, when not directing or performing, works in community relations at Churchill Downs Incorporated.

Jordan Clark, born in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been performing with CirqueLouis for several years and has directed their recent productions Gravity’s Varieties and Happy Birthday!  After training on his own in high school, Jordan began his formal circus training in 2006 at the National Circus School of Montreal’s summer program. He was later accepted into the school’s prestigious college program where he completed his training in 2012. Jordan has performed his hand-balancing act in over 20 counties as well as at sea.

Myranda Thomas (Leading Player): Myranda is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky, where she earned two degrees in theatre and elementary education. She currently works at StageOne Family Theatre as an education associate as well as at Acting Against Cancer as a teaching artist for their after school children’s program. Her favorite roles include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Sense and Sensibility (Elinor Dashwood) and Alice in Wonderland (Caterpillar/White Queen).

Keith McGill is a free-lance theatre teacher and workshop facilitator, an actor, and a stand-up comedian. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville and was a member of the 2019 Hadley Creatives Cohort.

Founded in 2017, the Midwest Queer Comedy Festival is dedicated  to highlighting diverse talent, and showcasing that talent to Midwestern comedy fans. A secondary mission of the festival is to bring about awareness of a deserving local charity.

The Festival will be held Aug 21-25 in multiple venues around Louisville, KY: Comedy Caravan, The Bard’s Town, Kaiju, Aloft Louisville, and PLAY

Rita M. Cameron was born in Louisville KY. She was educated at MSU in Morehead KY (started out as printmaker then turned to painting). From 1994-1998 she maintained a studio on Billy Goat Strut Alley- an old warehouse with no plumbing or heat since 2013 she has worked out of her studio space at Art Sanctuary.
